Anthony Sergi: A Career Of Success Still On the Rise
Get to Know Anthony and His Accolades
Anthony Sergi is the typical teenager.  He excells in school.  He enjoys spending time with his friends and family.  But what sets Sergi apart from many of his other peers is his passion for speed that has earned him accolades as one of the brightest up-and-coming racing stars in Florida and beyond.

Anthony was born with a desire for victories that
finally was able to be shown on the track in 2005
when he first got behind the wheel of a Quarter
Midget.  In the competitive Southeastern Quarter
Midget scene, Anthony excelled.  He was in a
hurry to win, earning eight victories in his first
season of competition at the kart track at New
Smyrna Speedway in Florida.  He continued his
success over the next few years setting a track
record and winning a 2008 World Formula
championship.

In 2008, Anthony graduated from the
developmental Quarter Midget ranks and
stepped up into full-sized racing machines with
the competitive Pro Truck division at Florida's
Auburndale Speedway.  While gaining experience
as the youngest driver in the field, Anthony impressed many of his fellow drivers and fans
with an impressive fifth-place finish at season's end.

Anthony's Truck career really began to blossom in 2009.  With a season under his belt at Auburndale, Anthony moved over to New Smyrna Speedway and Orlando SpeedWorld in Florida, tracks  where that many short track legends cut their teeth over the years.  Anthony earned Rookie of the Year honors at both tracks, finishing second in Pro Truck points at New Smyrna and third in points at Orlando.

While continuing his success in the Pro Truck ranks, Anthony stepped up into the Late Model divisions throughout Central Florida in 2010.  Anthony earned the Super Late Model Rookie of the Year title at Orlando that season, while also winning the Pro Truck track championships at both New Smyrna and Orlando and finishing second in points at both tracks in the Limited Late Model divisions.

In 2011, Anthony put a focus on a touring series for the first time in his career, competing in the Florida United Promoters Late Model Series with his MJS Concrete No. 20 Super Late Model.  He excelled at tracks throughout Florida, earning top-five finishes on three occasions to finish fifth in points, battling with short track veterans every weekend.

2012 brought a new challenge for Anthony as he began to look outside of Florida for success, while also trying to earn victories in his home state when not hitting the road.  Anthony raced in the Florida United Promoters Late Model Series as well as the Gulf Coast Championship in the Florida Panhandle and Alabama, as well as select events throughout the Southeast. Bad luck seemed too plague the team, and without it they would've won a handful of events.

Success returned in 2013 where he scored the NASCAR Florida Rookie of the Year and the Orlando SpeedWorld track championship.  The season produced two wins, one at Orlando and a Pro Late Model win at New Smyrna Speedway (FL).

The 2014 season saw Sergi compete in the Super Late Model division at New Smyrna Speedway, as well as in all six Bright House Challenge Series races at New Smyrna and Desoto. He recorded a pair of top-five finishes and five top-10 finishes in Bright House Challenge Series action.

2015 served as the breakout season for Sergi competing in the popular Super Late Model division.  Sergi recorded three wins, five top-fives and seven top-10 finishes on his way to clinching the Super Late Model track championship at New Smyrna.

Now a Mechanical Engineering major at the University of Central Florida, Sergi will focus on a handful of the bigger races in Florida during the 2016 season.
