Sergi Takes Pro Late Model Win at New Smyrna
Finishes Month of May on a High Note
Anthony Sergi picked up his second win of 2013 this past Saturday night at New Smyrna Speedway in Samsula, FL.
The win closed out a successful month of May with two wins, one top five and four top ten finishes.

The Pro Late Model win wasn’t an easy one for the young driver who will turn 18 on June 1.

“We started second and got a good start to take the lead. There was an early caution and we chose to start on the outside for the restart. Jake Dallenbach started on the inside and got out in front of me coming out of turn two. We touched and I scraped the wall and saved it. We went into turn three and his sister Kate Dallenbach hit Jake to bring out a caution.  The track gave me my position back and got a good restart and never looked back.”

Sergi said that the car was good but wasn’t the best due to a little damage on the rear bumper.

He also stated that they are trying to sell their Pro Late Model that took him to victory lane.

“It feels really good to finally be back in victory lane at New Smyrna,” Sergi said. “Hopefully it will give me some momentum this Saturday as I will be back to New Smyrna with my Super Late Model. That would be a cool 18th birthday present.”
